Thomas Clyde "TC" Alderson, Jr.

September 29, 1935 - February 1, 2016

Mr. Thomas Clyde “TC” Alderson, Jr., age 80, a resident of Columbia, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

The family will serve his life with services at a later date at Carmack Boulevard Church of Christ. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

TC was born on September 29, 1935 in Maury County and was the son of the late Thomas Clyde Alderson, Sr. and the late Mary Frances Russell Alderson. He was a graduate of Carver Smith High School in Columbia and was a member of Carmack Boulevard Church of Christ. TC loved reading his Bible and enjoyed being outdoors as well as dancing. Above everything else, he loved his family, especially his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons: David (Marie) Alderson of Tuscaloosa, AL, Derrick Alderson of Columbia; Beatrice Reynolds of Columbia, Flora (Larry) Washington of Illinois, Daphne Alderson of Texas; thirteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend: Charles Webster of Columbia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Hazel Alderson; and sisters: Martha Armstrong and Helen Woodson.
