Bonnie Lou Scott, age 61, a resident of Pittsburg, IL and formerly of the Theta-Santa Fe Community, passed away on Saturday, January 23, at the Herrin Medical Center in Herrin, IL after an extended illness.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 27th at 1pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with James Dickey officiating.  Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery.  The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, January 26th from 4-7pm, and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.  Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bonnie Lou was born August 6, 1954 in Maury County, and was the daughter of the late Hardin Chester Scott and the late Dorothy Mai Kelley Scott. She attended Spring Hill High School, and was a former employee of the Maury County School System.  She was of the Church of Christ faith.  Bonnie Lou loved being outside where she found much joy in riding four wheelers with her grandkids.  She was a lady that treasured her family with her granddaughters being her pride and joy.  Her family said she had a smile that will truly be missed.

She is survived by her daughter: Stacey Scott (Mike Burford) of Pittsburg, IL; brother: Farriel (Tricia) Scott of Columbia, TN; brother in law: Bill Culberson of Columbia, TN; niece: Amanda Culberson of Spring Hill, TN; nephew: Devin Scott; great niece: Raelynn Gates; grandchildren: Avangeleana “Nic” Scott and Alicia Scott, both of Pittsburg, IL; special friends: Paul & Buffy Coble of Mt. Pleasant, TN.

Pallbearers will be Jack Morgan, Phillip Sanders, Devin Scott, David Lancaster, Kenny Lancaster, and Robert Andrews.
