Susan Jane Hill Reese

July 30, 1956 - January 20, 2016

Mrs. Susan Jane Hill Reese, age 59, wife of Teddy Reese and a resident of Fly Road in Santa Fe, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and again on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 30, 1956 in Maury County, Susan was the daughter of the late Luther Thomas Hill and the late Thelma Ludine Griggs Hill. She was a 1974 graduate of Santa Fe School. Besides her work as a homemaker, she worked as a waitress and cook at Carney’s Restaurant and Red’s Restaurant in Clarksville. Susan also worked at US Commissary in Frankfurt, Germany for three years and was employed at General Electric for several years.

In addition to her husband, Teddy, she is survived by her sons: Tony Reese of Santa Fe, T.W. Reese of Columbia; brothers: Marion (Kay) Hill of Columbia, Phillip (Julie) Hill of Santa Fe; and grandchildren: Jordon Reese of Santa Fe and Tera Jade Thomasson of Hickman County.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her half brother: Thomas Hill.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Santa Fe School Class of 1974 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
