Mr. Charles Neil Holder, age 87, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Signature Healthcare.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 4, 1928 in O’Donnell, Texas, Charles was the son of the late James Holder and the late Mary Carter Holder. He served his country in the United States Army and worked the majority of his life as a carpenter.

He is survived by his children: Michael (Karen) Holder of Arizona, Charles Holder, Jr. of California, Kathy (Les) Anthis of Texas, Sandra Holder Reed of Florida, Heidi (James) Gutierrez of Columbia, TN, Matthew (Henny) Holder of Texas, Holly (Andrew) Griggs of Columbia, TN; sister: Shirley (Lanny) Westbrook of Arizona; grandchildren: Michael Jr., Jodie, Jason, Jackie, Alexander, Zachary, Mara, Tim Jr. Branden, and Patricia; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Patricia Holder; daughters: Tammy Holder, Cindy Holder; son: Timmy Holder; brother: Jim Holder; sister: Joann Holder; and nephew: Wheimer Westbrook.
