Mr. Billy Conrad, age 56, husband of Connie Conrad, and a resident of Winchester, passed away Monday, January 11, 2016 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Derrick Jones officiating along with many other ministers who were close to Billy. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on April 28, 1959 in Clinton, Indiana, Billy was the son of Mildred Craft Pribble and the late Kenneth Eugene Conrad. He married Connie Halfacre on December 22, 1991. He was a member of New Life Heart to Heart Church in Fayetteville and worked 25 years at General Motors before retiring in 2009. After retiring, he worked as a professional truck driver. Billy was best known for his singing and ministering alongside his wife with the group they started, The Praiser’s, for fourteen years at many churches in Tennessee and Indiana. He also devoted a lot of his time ministering at different nursing homes. Besides his deep desire to sing and minister to others, he often enjoyed fishing and spending time on his boat.

In addition to his wife, Connie of 25 years, he is survived by his mom: Mildred Pribble of Georgetown, IL; son: Billy Eugene (Amanda Grace) Conrad, Jr. of Culleoka; daughters: Nicole Benson of Shelbyville, Tammy Cospy of Covington, IN, Chassity Conrad of Lafayette, IN; sisters: Cindy (Jerry) Tines of Cayuga, IN, Connie Sue Conrad of Georgetown, IL, Kelly Farrar of Georgetown, IL; step-sister: Jeanie (Brett) Hayes of Danville, IL; seven grandchildren; one grandson, Noah, to be born in March; mother-in-law: Treva Lauderdale of Salem, IL; and brothers-in-law: Billy (Kimberly) Hill of Kell, IL, and Kevin (Joyce) Hill of Iuka, IL.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father: Thomas Pribble; father-in-law: Charles Hill; and step-son: Jasen Dodson.

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Tines, Billy Conrad, Jr., Jamar Bill, Rick Points, Wesley Sanders, and Chase Brooks. Joe Tomlin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
