Gene M. Vandiver

July 2, 1938 - December 30, 2015

Mr. Gene M. Vandiver, age 77, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday morning, December 30, 2015 at his residence.

Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on July 2, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, Gene was the son of the late Carl Vandiver and the late Evelyn (Clark) Vandiver. He served his country in the United States Army and Navy. He owned Lewisburg Sale Barn, buying and selling horses.

He is survived by his children: Stacy (Tonya) Vandiver, Scotty (Tina) Vandiver, Melissa Watson; sister: Patricia McCarty; and grandchildren: Renegade Vandiver and Erika Cole.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Morris Vandiver.
