Karl Levy, Sr.

July 4, 1942 - December 23, 2015

Mr. Karl S. Levy, Sr., age 73, husband of Patty Frank Levy, and a resident of Chapel Hill, passed away December 23, 2015 at his residence.

The family will celebrate his life with private services at his home at a later date.

Karl was born on July 4, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Karl was a 3rd Degree Free Mason and 32nd Degree Shriner. His life was completely revolved around his family, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Patty, of 50 years, he is survived by his son: Karl S. (Deborah A.) Levy, Jr.; daughter: Monica L. (Keith O.) Gaines; grandchildren: Justin and Aaron Gaines, Mikayla and Karl S. “Trey” Levy III; and devoted brother and sister-in-law: Joey (Gina) Frank.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law: Louis “Buddy” Frank, Sr. and Margarette Patt Frank.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to any Shriner’s Burn & Crippled Children’s Hospital.
