Wanda A. French

March 14, 1922 - December 21, 2015

Wanda Ann French, age 93, wife of Robert French, and a resident of Columbia and formely of Dwight, Illinois, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Dennis Smith officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday from 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on March 14, 1922 in Joliet, Illinois, Wanda was the daughter of the late Joseph Wrobel and the late Caroline Niemiec Wrobel. She was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed sewing, bird watching, traveling, and beachcombing. Above all else, Wanda loved spending time with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, Robert, she is survived by her daughters: Pauletta (Victor) Borchardt of Clifton, TN, Patricia (Dean) Shipley of Murfreesboro, TN and Claudia (Gary) Wilson of Adairsville, GA; sisters: Virginia Fleming of Wilmington, IL, Bernice Lea of Plainfield, IL; grandchildren: Elizabeth Muller, Christine Thomas, Victoria Dahlberg, Frank P. Lasser, John Phelan, Paul Phelan, Matthew Wysock, Rebecca Garrett, Jessica Carlton, Anna Wilson; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Carolyn Lasser; brothers: Frank, Johnny, Edward, Walter Wrobel and her previous husband: Paul Cummings.
