Thevlyn A. Thomas

June 9, 1956 - December 17, 2015

Mrs. Thevlyn A. Thomas, age 59, wife of Ray Thomas, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Williamson County Medical Center.

A homegoing celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 22nd at 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Michael A. Norwood officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 10am until the 1pm service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Thevlyn was born in Alexander City, Alabama on June 9, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Otha D. Thomas, Sr. and Mary Wyckoff Thomas. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was a devoted member of the Christian Faith Church. Some of her hobbies included spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and traveling. She also enjoyed taking walks in the park and sitting outside watching her husband work in the yard. She was known to be singing all the time. Her family said she took pride in taking care of others. She enjoyed teaching others how to pray and going to Sunday school. She also loved and had a passion for occupational therapy for over 20 years. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her husband and mother, she is survived by her son: Raynerrick “Nerrick” (Angela) Thomas of Chapel Hill; daughter: Mary “Sharae” Thomas of Austell, GA; brothers: Otha Doug Thomas and Ronnie Bruce Thomas, both of Alexander City, AL; sister: McVivian “Regina” May of Montgomery, AL.
