Doris Donithan

Doris Ann Donithan, age 71, a resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehabilitation.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Ethridge Fellowship “The Barn” with Bro. Roger Hendrix officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on May 7, 1944 in Pulaski, TN Doris was the daughter of the late Albert Hershel Campbell and the late Lorine Smith Campbell. She was of the Baptist faith and previously worked as a truck driver. Doris had the most beautiful and caring heart. She always thought of everyone else before she thought of herself and would give you the shirt off her back. She was very creative and enjoyed making candles. She loved Elvis Presley and had a special heart for all animals, but she especially loved dogs. In her younger days, Doris also enjoyed racing.

She is survived by her daughters: Regina Ann (Bill) Gower of Summertown, TN, Rita Maria (Jody) Monroe of La Grange, KY; brothers: Joe R. Powell, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, TN, Joey Lee (Joanne) Powell of Lawrenceburg, TN; sisters: Ruby G. Lashley of Louisville, KY, Wanda E. (Buford) Stafford of Leitchville, KY, Ledia A. Murphy of Lawrenceburg, TN, Patricia L. Greer of Lawrenceburg, TN, Barbara G. Minges of Summertown, TN, Eva Patsy (Mike) Flowers of Ethridge, TN; grandchildren: Reanna D. (Kent) Gambrell, Nikki Ashley, James Allen Laws; and great-grandchildren: Austin Stovall, Tye Gambrell, Alexis Gambrell, Haley Ashley, and Damon Ashley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: David Donithan; and her son: James Albert Laws.
