Gloria Morales

Gloria Morales, age 85, and a resident of Columbia, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at NHC Columbia. The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date in Puerto Rico. She will be laid to rest in Monte Calvario Cemetery in Puerto Rico. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements. Born on May 23, 1930 in Puerto Rico, Gloria was the daughter of the late Aurelio Morales and the late Flora Velazquez. She was a homemaker and a restaurant owner. She is survived by her sons: Angel Luis Benitez, David Felipe, Rodames Felipe; daughters: Lucy (David) Fore, Carmen (Patrick) Bresnahan, Daisy Benitez, Lucila Marisel; brothers: Miguel Morales, Abelino Morales, Benito Morales; and sisters: Maria Irizarry and Carman Morales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Zacarias Benitez; and daughter: Lydia Diaz.
