David Ralph Spivey

August 4, 1943 - November 9, 2015

Mr. David Ralph Spivey, age 72, husband of DiAnna Lee, and a resident of Lewisburg, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at his residence. David will be laid to rest in Iowa at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Detroit, Michigan on August 4, 1943, David was the son of the late Ralph H. Spivey and the late Dorothy Loretta Kassel Spivey. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. David was the owner and operator of a transportation company for 30 years and was a member of Crowell Chapel in Bedford County. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and tinkering with things. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Andrea Lynn Spivey of Waterford, MI; brother: Leigh Allen (Lori) Spivey of Michigan; grandchildren: Julia Hope Vanderlzen, Ethan Israel Vanderelzen, Gregory "Scott" Spivey, James Spivey, and Megan Spivey; and beloved cat: Beethoven. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Gregory Spivey; brother: Dennis James Spivey; and sister: Teri Ray.
