Mrs. Mildred Dennie Pewitt Goodgine, 65, a resident of Natchez Trace in Franklin, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. Born October 23, 1950 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty Johnson Pewitt and married to William "Randy" Goodgine for 46 years. She worked in the manufacturing industry for several companies. Her greatest times were spent cooking and enjoying time with her family. She loved nature, watching all her critters, gardening and holiday decorating. She loved to spend time in the Smokey Mountains. A celebration of the life of Mrs. Goodgine will be held in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Bro. Ronnie Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Besides her loving husband, she leaves to cherish her memory are her two sons: Bobby Wayne (Susan) Goodgine of Spring Hill and Billy Lee ( Donna) Goodgine of Primm Springs; a brother: William Daniel Pewitt of Franklin; sisters: Sally (Brick) Sturgeon of Nashville, Jeri (Mike) Goodgine of Mt. Pleasant, Midge (Calvin) Sullivan of Lewisburg, Dorothy Pewitt and Polly Pewitt, both of LaVergne: 3 grandchildren: Chance Goodgine, Kelsey Land and Seth Land; 2 great grandchildren: Adeline and Landon. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to your local humane society.
