Teresa "Kitty" Rowland

Teresa Lynn "Kitty" Gaskill Rowland, age 52, unexpectedly passed from this life on Friday, October 23, 2015 in Columbia, TN at her home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 2 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Russ Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Kitty was born on May 4, 1963 in Columbia, Tennessee to Betty Lou Stewart and Sammy Lee Gaskill. She was preceded in death by both parents. In 1979, she married Jeff Rowland, and less than a year later they welcomed their only child together, Cody Rowland. Kitty enjoyed gardening, shopping, decorating, playing with her grandkids, and her ever so loved teacup yorkie, Marilyn. She loved her family and enjoyed visiting her family in Mississippi, and especially her friend Millie's wonderful cooking. Her voice and laughter are not easily forgotten, and hopefully never will be, for Kitty brought very special and unique memories to everyone who loved her. Her son Cody was the one who truly had her heart. They had a very special bond like no other. She enjoyed all types of music, but especially loved listening to her husband Jeff sing. For them, life itself was a series of adventures. Kitty is survived by her spouse, Jeff Rowland; son: Cody Rowland, and wife Melissa; four grandchildren: Kelsey Rowland, Jaxson Rowland, Jacoby Rowland, and Caleah Rowland; brother: Timmy (Cindy) Gaskill; sisters: Brenda (Donald) Lovely and Polly Burgess; nephews: Michael Gaskill, Donald Lovely, Ronnie Burgess, and Michael Burgess; her special dear friends, Jane and Laci Buie; and Godchildren Madi and Mia. Pallbearers will Jeff Rowland, Timmy Gaskill, Michael Gaskill, Donald Lovely, Hayden Lovely, and Keefe Cothran.
