Mrs. Gayle Witting Main, age 78, wife of Walter Main, and a resident of Tom Osborne Rd. in Columbia, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Chris Boway officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday October 20, 2015 one hour prior to the 6:00 PM service Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Gayle was a dedicated wife to her husband and loving mother to her five children. She was a long standing member of St. Marks's Episcopal Church in East Longmeadow, MA, where she enjoyed the company of her close friends. She was a passionate member of the choir and contributed to the church community for many years. In recent years she was also a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, reading, and entertaining guests. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Main is survived by her Sons: David Main of Murfreesboro, Scott (Flora) Main of Agawam, MA, and Donald (Valerie) Main of Nashville; Daughters: Linda Gail Main of Columbia and Julie (Brett) Kniss of Cheyenne, WY; Brothers: Paul Lunetta of Sanford, ME and David Lunetta of Plymouth, MA; Sister-In-Law: Kathleen Emery of Hull, MA; and Grandchildren: Jeffrey Main, Michael ODonnell, Ryan Main, Kyle DeSousa, Samantha Kniss, and Graisen Kniss. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Brothers: Donald Lunetta and Warren Lunetta; and Sister-In-Law: Marion Lunetta. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
