Billie Jean Ethridge, age 79, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. Another visitation will be held at Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg, Mississippi on Tuesday, October 20th from 12 noon until 2pm. Burial will follow at St. Albans Episcopal Church Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements. Born on August 27, 1936 in Maury County, TN, Billie Jean was the daughter of the late Calvin Felix Fitzgerald and the late Rebecca Mae Skinner Fitzgerald. She was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Vicksburg, MS, the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. Billie was retired from Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg, MS with twenty-four years of service in the finance and accounting field. She is survived by her daughters: Pamela McCoy of Vicksburg, MS, Tammy Ethridge (Bobby) Coonfield of Huntsville, AL; sons: Eddie Ethridge of Lyles, TN, Randy McCoy of Bon Aqua, TN; sisters: Ann (Ernest) Stanfill of Columbia, TN; brother: Roger Fitzgerald of Columbia, TN; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law: Allen Wyatt of New Orleans, LA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: James D. Ethridge, Jr.; and her sister: Estelle Wyatt, Elaine McGee, Reba Parker; brother: Calvin Fitzgerald. The family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Albans Episcopal Church or the Salvation Army.
