Mrs. Virginia Lovell, age 85, a resident Columbia, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Life Care Center of Columbia. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11:00AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Eddie Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Columbia with Rick Points officiating the committal service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born February 27, 1930 in Limestone County, Alabama, Mrs. Lovell was the daughter of the late Willie and Myrum Davis Ervin. She married Mr. James Potts in 1947, and then after his passing, she later married Mr. Robert Lovell in 1989. She was employed as a Custodian for the Maury County Board of Education and was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. In her spare time, Mrs. Lovell enjoyed going to yard sales, playing Bingo, traveling, and attending family gatherings. She is survived by her Daughters: Carolyn (David) Kennemer, Trisha (Joe) Russell, and Gennie Lou (Jerrel) Lovett, all of Columbia; Step-Son: Bob (Margaret) Lovell of Mt. Pleasant; Sister: Mary Reaves of Columbia; Grandchildren: Marc Craig, Tonya Hinson, Kimberly Workman, David Sparkman, Jason Lovett, and James Morton; Great-Grandchildren: Josh Craig, Megan Craig, Breanna Shrake, Gage Shrake, Justin Bowling, Ty Hinson, Madison Hinson, Jordan Lovett, Jake Lovett, Jaxten Lovett, Christopher (Little One) Morton, Dallas Workman, Peyton Workman, Zane Sparkman, Mercedes Sparkman, , Brody Sparkman, and Cody Shaw; and Great-Great-Grandchildren: Makynlee Craig and Aydenn Craig. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lovell was preceded in death by her Husbands: James H. Potts and Robert Lovell; Brothers: Malcom Lee Ervin and John Ervin; Daughter: Betty Jane Potts Sparkman; and Granddaughter: Donna Carol Craig. Pallbearers will be: Justin Bowling, Dallas Workman, Peyton Workman, Ty Hinson, Gage Shrake, Zane Sparkman, Jordan Lovett, and Jeremy Dotson. Honorary Pallbearers will be: the Staff of Life Care Center of Columbia, Dr. Hrishi Kanth, and Dr. Gaylon Harris.
