Delores Hickerson

August 13, 1947 - September 8, 2015

Mrs. Delores "Dee" Hickerson, age 68, wife of Paul Hickerson, and a resident of Finerty Street in Hohenwald, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will gather at their house on Saturday, September 12th at 12noon for a time of remembrance. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Dee was born on August 13, 1947 in Flint, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Ellen May Briggs. She was of the Catholic faith. Dee loved cooking, quilting, and taking care of her family. One of her favorite things to do was have a cup of coffee or tea with family or friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughters: Angela West of Waynesboro, Lisa (Steve) Gibson of Tullahoma, Kellie (Rick) Montana of Nashville, Ellie (Loren) Gladden of Ethridge, Shannon Hickerson of Lawrenceburg, Andrea Hagan of Lawrenceburg, Darlene (Sean) Snee of Charlotte, NC, and Paula Hickerson of Ethridge; twenty grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren; two loyal companions, her pekingese: Rosie and Jasmine; and a host of other family and friends. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Timothy Briggs and David Briggs; her beloved pet: Dusty.
