Mr. James Adam McCandless, age 25, a resident of Jones Valley Road in the Water Valley Community, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with J.J. King officiating. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery in Williamson County. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 3:00 - 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on June 6, 1990 in Williamson County, Adam was the son of Mary Lee Ann McCandless Tidwell and the late Raymond Douglas Mitchell. He was a 2009 graduate of Santa Fe School and earned his Associates Degree at Nashville Tech in welding. Adam was employed at Bakery Technology Enterprises in Columbia as a welder. He enjoyed hunting, but most of all, he loved fishing. Adam was also a diehard Alabama fan. Above everything else, he loved his family and friends. Adam is survived by his mother: Mary Lee Ann (Jeffery) Tidwell of Williamsport; daughter: Emma Marie Corn of Primm Springs; step-sister: Jasmine Tidwell of Franklin; uncles: Robert Vetchel McCandless of Williamsport, David Wesley (Kathy) McCandless of Williamsport; and maternal grandmother: Lois (Salvador) Jasso of Franklin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: John Wesley McCandless. Pallbearers will be: Frankie McCandless, Allen McCandless, Bob Crafton, Wesley Roberts, Shane Mosley, T.J. McCandless, and Dillan Hutchins. Honorary pallbearers will be: Terry Wise, Winfred Baker, and his co-workers at Bakery Technology Enterprises.
