Canesha D. Pierce, age 25, a resident of Cummins Circle in Lewisburg and former resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Lewisburg from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Nelson Wilson, Rev. Herbert Johnson and Carl Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Eternity at Maury Memorial Gardens, located adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, August 21st from 5-7 PM at the funeral home and again one hour prior to the 1PM Saturday service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Canesha was born in Maury County, and was the daughter of Keith Pierce and Sonya Foster. She was a 2008 graduate of Marshall County High School. While in school, she enjoyed being the football team manager, cheering and being on the spirit squad dance team. She loved shopping and traveling. Canesha showed her dedication as an employee for Pizza Hut for 10 years. She attended Burns Springs Church of Christ. Canesha is survived by her loving mother: Sonya Foster, and step-father, Lawrence Easley of Lewisburg; her father: Keith Pierce, and his fiancé Marvel Nelson of Columbia; her fiancé George Brooks of Lewisburg; sisters: Shronda Pierce of Columbia, NePresha Pierce of Columbia, and Jerlissa Foster of Lewisburg; maternal grandmother: Mildred Armstrong of Mt.Pleasant; paternal grandmother: Betty Jean Pierce of Columbia; aunts: Bonetia Howard and husband Monte, Stephanie Pierce, Connie Armstrong, and Georgette Armstrong; uncles: George Armstrong, Jr. and Clarence Anthony Brown; cousin and best friend: Roderick Howard; special niece: Anijah Logue; and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers: James E. Pierce and Steve Carter; also, her aunt: Fannie Armstrong. Pallbearers will be Ninjka Thomison, Dierra Mayes, Erica Smith, Yalisa O'neal, Deontra Hurt, Ashley Warren, Curtis Morris, Carvious Morris, Deon Hardison, Tron Jones, Gary Jones, and Dilyrian White. Honorary pallbearer will be Clarence Brown.
