Collene Banks Hamilton

December 11, 1929 - June 28, 2015

Collene B. Hamilton, age 85, wife of the late B.H. Hamilton, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Mt. Pleasant Heathcare and Rehab. A memorial service will be held on July 3 at 1PM at Shackleford Funeral Home in Savannah, TN. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on December 11, 1929 in Eupora, Mississippi, Mrs. Hamilton was the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary Wells Banks. She was a secretary for the railroad. In her spare time, she enjoyed: sewing, cross-stitching, and crocheting. Her biggest accomplishment was raising her 6 loving children. Mrs. Hamilton is survived by: Sons: Ron (Peggy Jean) Richardson of Louisville, KY and Terry Richardson of Mt. Pleasant; Daughters: Fran (David) Richardson Wakefield of Columbia and Janet Carroll of Mt. Pleasant; Sister: Catherine Marshall of Dixon, IL; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
