Audrey Smith

Audrey Smith, age 86, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Services for Mrs. Smith will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements Audrey was born on November 5, 1928 in Mancelona, Michigan and was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith Lakeese Hosmer. In her early years, she moved to Lake City, FL where she owned and ran a holiday motel until she retired. After retiring, she moved back to Columbia where she spent the rest of her days residing with her daughter Janice and son-in-law Robert Ackley. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Spring Hill, TN. She is survived by her daughter Janice (Robert) Ackley of Columbia; sisters: Inez Irwin of Coldwater, MI; Irene McCleese of Ray, MI; grandchildren: Rita Ackley, Andrew (Julie) Ackley, Steven (Holli) Ackley all of Columbia; along with three great-grandchildren: Chloe Ackley, Landon Ackley, and Paige Ackley.
