Mary Ruth Mencer

Mary Ruth Mencer, age 72, resident of Madison, TN and formerly of Columbia, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 4th at 12 noon in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Joe Malcom Mencer officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 10 AM until the 12 noon service hour. Burial will follow at the Taylor Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mary was born December 11, 1942 in Williamson County and was the daughter of the late George Washington Mencer and Myrtle Restoria Pewitt Mencer. She was a member of Pewitt's Chapel Baptist Church in Franklin. She enjoyed gardening and watching western movies. Her favorite hobby was playing card games. Mary is survived by her brother Daniel Mencer of Resco, GA; Nieces and Nephews: Lisa Mull, Amanda Rucker, Amy Hinkle, Joe Malcom Mencer, Aaron Mencer, Mike Mencer, Miles Mencer, Mitchell Mencer, and also many great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: John Richard Mencer, William Mencer, and Jack Edward Mencer; sister: Missie Marie Mencer. Pallbearers will be Joe Malcom Mencer, Mike Mencer, Mitchell Mencer, Aaron Mencer, and Miles Mencer.
