Argie Oliver

April 21, 1935 - May 14, 2015

Argie Oliver, age 80, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Sunday May 17th at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 12 noon until the 2pm service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Argie was born on April 21, 1935 in Maury County, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Murphy Oliver and Myrtle Dugger Oliver. She attended school in Mt. Pleasant. Most people knew her from her being a waitress. She was a waitress at several different restaurants, including Lucille's and Ranch House. She also was a long time member of Liberty Baptist Church. Argie is survived by her sisters: Mary Etta Davis of Columbia, Linda Dugger of Columbia, Connie Terry of Columbia, and Cathey Sinden of MO; grandchildren: Kattie Davis of Mt. Pleasant, David Tucker of Mt. Pleasant, and Jason Tucker of Columbia; great grandchildren: Jaden Hambright, Jacob Davis, Jordan Hambright Christopher Woodson, Sophia Woodson, and Abigail Woodson, all of Mt. Pleasant, Alyssa and Tyler Tucker of Columbia; special nieces Gloria Ann Hendrix and Mandy Lewis; special friend Donna McQuilling; along with several other nieces and nephews. Along with Argie's parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Danny Davis; sisters: Gracie Haywood and Nancy Oliver; brothers: Herman Ray Oliver, Jerry Glenn Oliver, Sr., Randy Oliver, and Danny Oliver. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
