Esther Moulton

Ms. Esther V. Moulton, age 69, a resident on Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her residence. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 5:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Sherry Ladd officiating. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 3:00 - 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on June 28, 1945 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, Esther was the daughter of the late Kenneth Edward and Goldie Dardinger Denoon. She enjoyed working in retail as a cashier at Wal-Mart and Dollar General in Hohenwald as well as Target in Spring Hill and loved going to work. She also enjoyed cooking. Esther loved cats and cared a lot about her kids and grandkids. She is survived by her son: Donald (Margaret) Smotherman, Sr. of Columbia; brother: Fred Denoon of Florida; sister: Nancy Paulette of Missouri; grandchildren: Jessica Smotherman, Donald Smotherman, Jr., Antony Smotherman, Nick Collier, Jennifer Crabtree, and Kesha Smith; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Moulton; son: Jimmy Smotherman; brothers: Ronald Denoon, Roger Denoon; and sister: Roseanne.
