Ricky Joe Mayberry

Ricky Joe Mayberry, age 64, a resident of Rosewood Dr in Columbia, passed away Sunday morning at Signature Health Care of Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015 at 730 PM at the First United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Tilford Tharp officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 630-730 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born June 22, 1950 in Lewis County, he was the son of the late James William and Martha Jo Cooper Mayberry and husband of the late Doris Lindsey Mayberry. A graduate of Columbia Central High School, Ricky was a laborer by trade in construction and he liked to go fishing and read. He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Columbia. Ricky is survived by his children: Michael (Stephanie) Mayberry and Jonathan Mayberry, both of Columbia; sisters: Robin (Randy) Nichols of Mt. Pleasant and Glenda (Eddie) Glasco of Columbia; four grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: James Thomas Mayberry.
