Mr. James E. "Wolfie" Chapman, Jr., age 61, a resident of Lewisburg, formerly of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at his residence. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 12:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Curtis Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Maury County, James was the son of Evelyn Spears Chapman and the late James Ernest "Country" Chapman, Sr. He attended Bethesda School in Franklin and worked as a truck driver. James was described as being an all around good person with a great sense of humor who everybody liked. He cared deeply about his family and his Dog Rosie who passed away last year. James loved riding his Harley, playing the guitar, and driving his truck. He was a "good ole country boy" who enjoyed living in the country, having fun, playing around, and picking on others. He is survived by his mother: Evelyn Spears Chapman of Columbia; daughter: Bethany Suzanne Barbour of Kentucky; sisters: Linda Riley of Columbia, Marilyn (Artie) Haskin of Culleoka, Ann (Tommy) Stewart of Culleoka; special friend: Sheila Holt of Lewisburg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nieces; and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father: James Ernest "Country" Chapman, Sr.; daughter: Jada Renee Baxter, and brother: Larry Chapman. Pallbearers will be Greg Riley, Jason Haskin, Preston Holt, Joe Holt, Kevin Stewart, and Corey Beckum.
