Brian Alonzo Acton, age 40, husband of Karen Acton, and a resident of Columbia, TN, formerly of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home at 6:00 PM with Pastor Tim Paul officiating. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held in the Garden of Eternity in Maury Memorial Gardens, adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Brian was born on September 25, 1974 in Owensboro, KY and was the son of Bright Lyons and Debbie (Bert) Riley. He married his wife, Karen on August 3, 2014. He meant the world to his wife, and his wife loved him unconditionally. Brian was an active member of Acts Family Church in Columbia and was saved and baptized in September of 2014. He was a sports enthusiast who loved all sports. His grandmother was very special to him, and he loved his children more than anything. In addition to his wife and parents, Brian is survived by his children: Brian Acton, Jr., Jasmine Acton, Destiny Howard, and Brianna Acton, all of Owensboro, KY; mother-in-law: Sharon Woepse; brothers: Donyel (Kimberly) Acton of Owensboro, KY, Michael Dulin; sister: Tracy (Billy) Curry of Owensboro, KY; grandmother: Catherine Acton; aunt: Vivian (William) Griffith; many cousins and friends. He also had one grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by a very special cousin, Ray Barnes AKA: Bones.
