Harry Peterson

January 19, 1959 - April 22, 2015

Mr. Harry Earl Peterson, age 56, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will celebrate his life with services at a later date in Louisiana. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on January 19, 1959 in Mattson, Mississippi, Harry was the son of the late Oscar and Lillie Harris Peterson. He served his country in the United States Army and loved being in the military. Harry also enjoyed carpentry work and working on cars. He is survived by his brothers: Mel Lee (Irean) Peterson of Milwaukee, WI, Perry Peterson of Homestead, FL, Percy (Janet) Stone of New Orleans, LA, Verdell (Aisha) Stone of New Orleans, LA; sisters: Gennie (Larry) Thompson of Harvey, LA, Ernestine Stalling of Joliet, IL, Sarah (Lee) Bell of Kankakee, IL, Rachel (Billy) Moore of Harahan, LA, and Aloise Antoine of Harvey, LA; aunt: Johnnie Toy of Oak Ridge, TN; and special friend: Iona Ricks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Peterson.
