Carlene Bliss

Carlene Bliss, age 63, a resident of Baptist Church Road in Culleoka, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at her residence. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Maury County, Carlene was born on August 16, 1951 and was the daughter of the late John Robert and Velma McMahan Davis. She was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School and worked as a waitress the majority of her life. She also worked several years at Union Carbide. Carlene enjoyed fishing and watching her granddaughters play softball. She loved Alabama football and going to Joe Wheeler State Park in Alabama. She especially loved her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She is survived by her sons: Robert (Katherine) Skinner of Culleoka, Barry (Misty) Sims of Lyles; sister: Susie (Charles) Dalton of Hendersonville; and nine grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister: Cardene Davis; and brothers: John D. Davis and J.W. Davis.
