Elizabeth "Beth" Dawn Green, age 42, a resident of Columbia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 2:30 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Richard Vancleave officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on December 24, 1972 in Hot Springs, Virginia, Beth was the daughter of James and Hilda Rexrode Green. She was a 1991 graduate of Bath County High School in Hot Springs, Virginia. She worked as a child care coordinator at The Children's Academy in Spring Hill and was also part time employed at Trinity Methodist Church in Spring Hill as a coordinator for the children's programs. Beth loved kids and kids loved her. She was a loving mother who supported and enjoyed attending her son, Tyler's, JROTC events as well as his Civil War reenactments. She was extremely proud of her son who is not only active in the JROTC at Spring Hill High School, but is also Class Valedictorian. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son: Tyler James Green of Columbia; sister: Amy (Lantz) Romer of Columbia; and her extended family in Virginia. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: Andrew & Mary Green; and maternal grandparents: Herbert & Helen Rexrode. Pallbearers will be the Spring Hill High School JROTC. The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association: 1818 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
