Mrs. Sally Joyce Young Webster, age 81, beloved wife of William "Bill" Webster, and resident of Parsons, TN, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Perryville Baptist Church in Parsons, TN with Rev. Rodney Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Perryville Cemetery in Parsons, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the church as well as, Sunday from 10:00 AM until the 2pm service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Sally was born on May 7, 1933, in a house in Perryville, TN, delivered by her grandmother, who was a midwife. She was named after her grandmother. Sally was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Young and Mary Louise Stout Young. Close to high school graduation, Sally ran off and married Bill in Corinth, Mississippi on April 9, 1952. They have lived happily ever after since then. She was a very Christian lady that loved the Lord and her church. She was a lifelong, dedicated, and involved member of Perryville Baptist Church. She has attended there since she was a little girl. Sally was known in the community for cooking. She worked at Parsons Junior High cooking for many years. She also cooked for Decatur County General Hospital for many years. Sally was a lady that was outgoing and never met a stranger, always making you feel welcome. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son: William "Shane" (Vicki) Webster of Lobelville, TN; daughters: Belinda (Roger) Rainey and Cynthia Redden, both of Parsons, TN, brother: Boyd Lee (Janice) Young of Parsons, TN; sisters: Jo Stout Young of Madison Heights, MI, Loretta Murphree of Parsons, TN; grandchildren: Amanda (Van) Leeper of New York City, NY, Brandy Hartley of Parsons, TN, Amanda Lindsey of Hohenwald, TN, Tiffany (John) Richards of Hohenwald, TN Gracen Webster of Lobelville, TN; and great grandchildren: Bailey Lindsey of Hohenwald, TN and Christopher Hartley of Parsons, TN. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gene Young. Pallbearers will be Tommy Montgomery, Michael Lee, Jacob Pasco, Vaughn Paul Duncan, John Richards, and Adam Bates. Honorary pallbearers will be: Thomas McFall, Robert Bibbs, Tim Reddix, and Christopher Hartley.
