Henry Lara

Mr. Henry Lara, beloved husband of Mindy Lara, and resident of Spring Hill, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Chaplin Bob Palmer officiating. The family will also receive friends for visitation on Tuesday two hours prior to the service from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born in Eddy County, New Mexico, Henry was the son of the late Edwardo and Maria Alvarado Lara. He served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He worked as a torque monitor in the automobile industry. Henry enjoyed yard work, home projects, cooking and travelling as well as photography. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Danny (Tasha) Richard of Columbia; daughter: Jacki (Chasen) Waugh of Spring Hill; grandchildren: Skyla Levine, Aidan Richard, Tristan Richard, Delaney Waugh, and Jacksen Waugh; and several brothers and sisters. Honorary pallbearers will be Chasen Waugh, Danny Richard, Jordan Merkel, Kris Merkel, Max Merkel, and Tom Merkel.
