Mel Bejma, age 84, husband of Beverly Meyers Bejma and a resident of Franklin, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 10, 2015 at NHC Cool Springs. A private funeral service for the family will be held on Friday, March 13th at 2:30pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Brentwood with Pastor Lane Reuter officiating. The family will gather with friends for a visitation on Friday from 1-2:30pm at the church. Heritage Funeral Home of Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements. Mel was born on April 14, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI and was the son of the late Frank and Pearl Prominski Bejma. He married the love of his life, Beverly in 1950. He worked in sales and marketing in the dairy industry most of his life. He was a longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and the past President of IDDBA (International Dairy Deli Association.) Some of his hobbies included fishing, hunting, golfing, and traveling. Along with his loving wife of 65 years Beverly Bejma, Mel is survived by his daughter Debora Wynn of Franklin, TN; brother: Clarence Bejma of Hudson, FL; grandchildren: Lauren (Beau) Wynn Moss of Franklin, TN, and Whitney Wynn of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren: Wynn Ann Moss and Mack Beau Moss; He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Along with his parents, Mel is preceded in death by his brothers David Bejma and James Bejma. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Bejma, Michael Brady, Dennis Brady, Brian Brady, Rick Ferguson, Connie Willegle, Karen McGavin, Jacqueline Bejma, and Shelly Leciejewski.
