Rebecca Louellen Ray, age 67, a resident of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Boulevard Terrace Nursing Center in Murfreesboro after an extended illness. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Hunter Room of Heritage Funeral Home with her cousin Donald Webb officiating. A visitation with the family will also be held on Sunday one hour prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest beside her grandparents Rev. & Mrs. Coleman Sparkman at Adkisson Cemetery. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Becky was the daughter of the late Richard Ray and Jessie McKnight. She was the mother of Robert "Bobby" Ray Borre, Donald Brian (Lisa) Hongsermeier both of Murfreesboro, William "Billy" Edward Borre of Nashville. She was the grandmother to Joshua Borre, Caleb Borre, Matthew Borre, Drake Borre, Olivia Borre, Samuel Borre, Hannah Hongsermeier, and Addison Hongsermeier. She was the niece of Aunt Barbara Woody Rountree of Water Valley and Aunt Anne Sparkman of Columbia and sister to Robin Ray and Wayne Ray both of Pegram. Becky also had many first cousins who she loved dearly. Her Maury County cousins are: Rickey and Ben Woody, Annette Matlock, and Roger Sparkman. In Becky's younger days she was a very talented dancer. She danced with several of the Dace Companies in Nashville. Later she owned and taught dance, teaching young girls and boys tap, jazz, and ballet.
