Mike Hay

November 27, 1956 - February 22, 2015

Michael Dewayne Hay, age 58, a resident of Reece Church Road in Columbia, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, February 25th from 4-7pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Mike was born on November 27, 1956 in Maury County, Tennessee. He was the son of Howard Wesley Hay, Sr. and the late Mildred Chapman Hay. He married the love of his life, Phyllis Ceglinski on July 4, 1972. Working most of his life as a mechanic, Mike had a passion for old cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He also cherished his dogs, Lucy and Rebel. Above all, Mike loved his family. He was a family man who would do anything at any time for anybody. He will be missed by all who knew him. Along with his wife, Phyllis Hay, of 42years and father Wesley Hay, Sr., Mike is survived by his son: Joey Hay of Santa Fe; brothers: Darryl "Winnie" Hay of Columbia, and Howard Wesley (Billie) Hay, Jr. of Thompsons Station; sisters: Tammy (Gary) Pruitt of Hampshire, Sheila (Wayne) Martin of Santa Fe, Carolyn Walker of Smyrna, and Elaine (Vic) Hay of Pegram; grandchildren: John Howard Hay, Camron Michael Hay, and Kyle Craig; nephews: Steven Hay, Matthew Pruitt, Jason Hay, Brad Walker, and Keith Walker; nieces: Sabrina Pruitt, Cheyenne Martin, and Suzanne Bennett. Along with his mother Mildred Chapman Hay, Mike is preceded in death by his brother Gary "EZ" Hay.
