Sue Ann Bowser, age 71, a resident of Masters Lane in Columbia, passed away Friday morning, February 13, 2015 at her residence. The family has decided to postpone the funeral and visitation due to weather. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Love in Maury Memorial Gardens adjacent to the funeral home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 17, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM as well as one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on September 9, 1943, in London, Ohio, Sue was the daughter of the late Matthew and Hazel Ripley Payne. She was a homemaker, lovingly taking care of her home and seven children. She enjoyed crafts, decorating, flowers, gardening, and cooking. She was a natural born story teller, and had the unique ability of bringing any story to life. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and her loving nature as Mommy, Mamaw, Nanny, and Nanny Mamaw. She is survived by her children: Cindy (Wade) Mayabb of London, Ohio; Darick Hollar of Orlando, Florida; Scott Hollar of London, Ohio; Nina (Joe) Luffman of Columbia, TN; Leann (Jason) Perry of Cillicothe, Ohio; Bridget Templeton (Shawn Graves) of Shelbyville, TN; and Christa Bowser (Kevin) Bass of Columbia, TN; Siblings: Dick Payne, Janet White, Donald (Carla) Payne, Rick (Paula) Payne, all of London, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren: Austin, Bailey, Taylor, Keegan, Shauna, Shawn, Aaron, Erica, Jordan, Anna Marie, Ashley, Lindsey, Daricka, Addison, Chris, and Brandon; eighteen great-grandchildren; and special friend, Beverly Clifton also known as her BFF. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Tom Payne and David Payne; grandsons: Tyler Scott Templeton and Brandon Keith Burroughs. Active pallbearers will be Joe Luffman, Shawn Graves, Jason Perry, Wade Mayabb, Kevin Bass, Ricky Payne, Donnie Payne, and Jordan Cole. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dick Payne, Tommie Payne, Kyle Caudill, Taylor Templeton, Shawn Mayabb, and Austin Bowser.
