Nancy Swann

April 21, 1931 - January 23, 2015

Mrs. Nancy Swann, age 83, wife of Conon Swann, and resident of Sowell Hollow Road in Columbia, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015, at NHC Hillview in Columbia. The family will celebrate her life with services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on April 24, 1931 in Jacksonville, Florida, Nancy was the daughter of the late Hanson and Dorothy Hayword McNamara. She was a graduate of Grady High School in Atlanta, Georgia and cared for her home and family as a homemaker for the majority of her life. Nancy was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Columbia. She was a musician, playing the French horn in the Atlanta Symphony. She was a lady of great faith and great heart. This was evident in her ministry as a Stephen Minster and the President of the Women's Group at her church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Stephen Swann and Stuart Swann; daughter: Dorothy Swann; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
