Ms. Peggy Collins Tallent, age 77, of Lewisburg passed away Wednesday, January 7th at Countryside Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Myers officiating. The family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to the service on Sunday. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She was the daughter of the late David Leonard and Ruth (Pruitt) Collins. She graduated from Marshall County High School. As a young girl, she worked in her father's business as a waitress at Wall Street Cafe and, other than sharing a business with her late husband, Cheek's Market, she worked at many truck stops along interstate I-65. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Erma (Porch) Pruitt and a grandson, Stanley Ross Emerson. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Roy) Griffin of Petersburg, Ramona Osborne (Lonnie Poarch), granddaughter Sherri (Donnie) Elder, grandsons Nick (Dazha) Osborne and Christopher Schultz of Lewisburg, one great granddaughter, two great grandsons and a great great-granddaughter. She leaves behind many dear friends at the Summit Apartments in Lewisburg and Countryside Healthcare in Lawrenceburg and special friends Shorty, Teresa, Lucy, Beverly and her beloved cat, Cilla.
