Frona Mae Halasz

September 17, 1934 - January 2, 2015

Frona Mae Halasz, age 80, a resident of Columbia, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 at NHC Columbia. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 6th at 6pm with Rev. Melinda Britt officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 5pm until the service hour at 6pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Frona was born in Pike County, Kentucky on September 17, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Tom B. Chapman and Winnie Stanley Chapman. She worked in real estate most of her life. Frona enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and collecting beanie babies. She also loved all sports, but mostly bowling. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her. Frona is survived by her daughter Pam (Danny) Anderson of Columbia, TN and sons Thomas J. (Brenda) Halasz of Alvaton, KY and John (Roxane) Halasz of Las Vegas, NV; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Along with her parents, Frona was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Halasz and two brothers Joe Lee Chapman and Bill Chapman.
