Ms. Freddie Jones, age 66, a resident of Timber Trail in Columbia, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at her residence. A Homecoming Celebration for Ms. Jones will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia with The Rev. Larry Houston officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, December 12, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born December 14, 1947 in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Fred Gordon Jr. and Frances Bailey Gordon. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. Ms. Jones is survived by her daughter: Shenna Canty of Mt. Pleasant; sons: Anthony Gordon of Bolivar, TN, Rico Canty of Columbia, TN, Marcus Canty of Whiteville, TN, Demetric Canty of Columbia, TN and Kyle Jones of Columbia, TN; brothers: Larry Gordon and Damon (Donna) Young; sister: Lynne Greene; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special cousins: Ruth Brown, Olene Kittrell, Katie Bell Webster; devoted grandchildren: Ka'Tavious Duncan and Ja'Kiya Duncan; devoted cousin: Dorothy Carter; and devoted friend: Tina Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
