Mr. Richard Alan Hickerson, age 53 of Waynesboro, TN passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at his residence. The family will celebrate his life with private services at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born April 2, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, Richard was the son of the late Willie Floyd and Wilma Griggs Hickerson. He leaves behind four sons, Steven Holmes of Lawrenceburg, Eric Holmes of Detroit, Michigan, Robert Hickerson Jenkins of St. Joseph, Tennessee, and Jordan Hickerson of Waynesboro, Tennessee; Two sisters, Kathryn Hickerson of Waynesboro, Tennessee, and Linda Hickerson of Warren, Michigan; one brother, Kenneth Hickerson of Hixson, Tennessee; four grandsons: Micheal, Gavin, Caleb, and Hayden Holmes, all of Lawrenceburg; two granddaughters, Angel Holmes of Michigan, and Kali Jenkins of Lawrenceburg. One close nephew, James Kazen, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Riley and one brother Boyd Hickerson. The family requests donations to go toward expenses in lieu of flowers.
