Danny Dwight Davis

Mr. Danny Dwight Davis, age 61, a resident of Columbia, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at his residence. A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1PM at Watts Hill Cemetery with Jim Ledbetter officiating. The family will also visit with friends on Wednesday one prior to the service from 11 AM - 12 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Columbia, Danny was the son of Argie Oliver and the late Thomas Wilson Davis. He was a graduate of Culleoka School and served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by several restaurants over the years as a cook and was also a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter: Katie Davis of Mt. Pleasant; son: David Tucker of Mt. Pleasant; step-son: Jason Tucker of Columbia; and brothers: Gary Davis of Culleoka and Wayne Davis of Lawrenceburg. Pallbearers will be: Gerald Buchanan, John Hambright, Jason Tucker, Tyler Tucker, Jonathan Hinson, and Michael Bougus.
