Ann F. Haslam, age 69 of Joe Brown Road in Columbia, passed away early Monday morning, November 24, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28th at 1pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 2998 Commonwealth Drive in Spring Hill, TN with Bishop Ron Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Love in Maury Memorial Gardens, located next to Heritage Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 12-1pm at the Church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Ann was born August 7, 1945 in American Fork, Utah and was the daughter of the late Don C. and Rebecca Ann Laursen Fowler. After graduating from Lehi High School in Lehi, Utah, Ann went on to get her Master's in Education at California State University, Stanislaus. She taught at Tracy Unified School District in Tracy, CA. Ann married Kent Haslam in July of 1965. In her spare time, she enjoyed creative writing, landscaping, interior design and decorating. She was also an avid reader. She was family-oriented and especially loved all her grandchildren. Ann was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Above all, Ann loved to focus on all that was good, positive, and joyful. Ann is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, William Kent Haslam of Columbia, TN; sons: Reynold Scott (Rebecca) Haslam of Acworth, GA, Jason Kent (Carrie) Haslam of Brentwood, TN, and Jared Don (Stacey) Haslam, currently living in Yokohama, Japan; daughter: Laurel Ann (Murray) Johns of Franklin, TN; brothers: Bill (Candy) Fowler of St. George, UT, Jim (Camille) Fowler of American Fork, UT, and John (Mary Ann) Fowler of West Bend, WA; sisters: Donna (Marlin) Barnes of Lehi, UT, Jane (Calvin) Trane of Idaho Falls, ID, Jan (Ron) Roberts of Charlotte, NC, and Sally (Kevin) Francom of Lehi, UT; and 18 grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Suzie Gillman and a brother Tommy Fowler. Family will serve as pallbearers.
