Ronald Eugene Alexander, age 57, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at his residence. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11th at 6:30pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home with Mike Stanley officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4pm until the service hour at 6:30pm. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Ronnie was born November 8, 1957 in Columbia and was the son of Porter Alexander and the late Hattie Luttrell Alexander. He was a 1977 graduate of Culleoka High School. He attended Highland Park Baptist Church. Some of his hobbies included painting, fishing, and grilling out. He was a Nascar and UT football fan. Ronnie was a man that enjoyed life, always smiling. Most of all he loved his family. He had such a big heart, always wanting to spend time with his friends and family, especially his grandbabies and great grandchild. Everyone who knew Ronnie will miss him. He is survived by his father: Porter (Paula) Alexander; children: Nicole Wilson of Georgia, Christy Alexander of Columbia, Cameron Alexander of Columbia, and Courtney Alexander of Columbia; twin brother: Donnie Alexander of Columbia; sisters: Sharon Mitchell of Columbia and Amanda Alexander (Troy Hargrove) of Santa Fe; Ten Grandchildren and one great grandchild. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother Hattie Luttrell Alexander; paternal grandparents, Henry & Ola Mai Alexander; maternal grandparents, James & Nannie Mae Luttrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jason Alexander, Justin Alexander, Michael Mitchell, David Wakefield, Jeremy Batts, and Coleson Sellars. The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice Compassus and Dr. Ben Gardner and staff.
