Dennis Clyde Clark, age 70, passed away early Monday morning, November 3, 2014 at Williamson Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 5th at 1pm at Spring Hill Church of Christ. The family will visit with friends from 12 noon until the 1pm service at the Church. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Dennis was born March 11, 1944 in Culloden, West Virginia and is the son of the late Earl and Julia Grass Clark. He had retired from Union Carbide around 20 years ago. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly watching the hummingbirds and looking at the lovely roses. He was an active member in the Spring Hill Church of Christ. He volunteered for the Truth of the World for several years. Dennis loved spending time with friends and family the most. He loved his grandchildren very much. He was looking forward to his granddaughter getting married in January. He will be missed by all who knew him. Dennis is survived by his loving wife Karen Phelps Clark, daughters: Karen Denise (Daniel) Patterson of Spring Hill, and Tracie Dawn (Mike) Lanier of Auburn, GA; brother: Charles (Dorothy) Clark of Myrtle Beach; sisters: Yvonne (Burk) Villars of Culloden, WV, and Reba Brown of Milton, WV; grandchildren: Sean Patterson, Meghan Patterson, Jacob Patterson, Julie Lanier, Thomas Lanier, and Nathan Lanier. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Clark. Donations can be made to the Truth for the World at truthfortheworld.org.
