Mr. Phillip Dean Shore, age 59, husband of Cindy Shore, and a resident of Hayes Denton Road in Columbia, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Ward Jones officiating. An inurnment will follow at Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum adjacent to Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and again on Monday two hours prior to the service from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on March 24, 1955 in Chariton, Iowa, Phillip was the son of the late David Alfred and Ruby Opal Martneck Shore. He worked 26 years at Tadano Mantis Crane Company where he enjoyed working and building the cranes. When he wasn't working, you could often find him fishing. Phillip also enjoyed yard work and making his yard look nice. He was a generous man who would help anybody who needed help and would give you anything you needed if he had it to give. In addition to his wife, Cindy, of 38 years, he is survived by his son: Eric Dean (Heather Kay) Shore of Culleoka; daughter: Heather Dawn Shore of Columbia; siblings: Barbara (Ron) Hoover of Iowa, Mildred Spoon on Nebraska, Joyce Shore of Iowa, David Shore of Iowa, Robert (Pamela) Shore of Iowa, Patty Shore of Iowa, Connie (Greg) Lehigh of Iowa, Michael Shore of Iowa; grandson: William Barrett Shore; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: JoAnn; nephews: Francis Lehigh, Roger Hoover, Roger Norbom; and nieces: Connie Batman and Pamela Shore. Phillip's coworkers at Tadano will serve as honorary pallbearers.
