Mary Eastep

Mary Eastep, age 68, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at NHC-Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Born on December 26, 1945 in Williamson County, TN, Mary was the daughter of the late Matsey and Mary Elizabeth Holt Johnson. She attended Tennessee School of the Deaf and was a homemaker most of her life. Mary married Clemon "Cubby" Ray Eastep on February 4, 1971; he passed away March 20, 2007. She is survived by her children: Mary Voorhies, Becky Eastep, Bobby (Amanda) Eastep, Lisa (Chris) Mayo; siblings: Glen (Jackie) Johnson, Janie (David) Lavern, Louise (Harold) Hammock, Betty (Ike) Fairwether, Horace Johnson; grandchildren: Rebecca Huffsetler, Samantha Voorhies, Savannah Voorhies, Austin Voorhies, Hannah Mayo, Aliea Mayo, Haley Mayo, Christin Mayo, Dustin Eastep, Cheyenne Eastep, Bethany Dillon; Brendan Voorhies; great-grandchildren: Emma Grace Brewer, Bristol Ann Huffsetler; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Darnell Crumley, Buddy Johnson, Georgie Johnson, and Roy Johnson.
