Carl Cross

August 14, 1949 - October 20, 2014

Mr. Carl E. Cross, age 65, a resident of McBride Circle in Columbia, passed away Monday morning, October 20, 2014 at NHC Hillview. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. The family will also visit with friends on Saturday two hours prior to the service from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Carl was born on August 14, 1949 and was the son of the late Homer Hall and Kathleen Dawson. He was of the Church of God Faith. You could often find Carl riding his bicycle and picking up things for people in the community. He is survived by his brother: Michael Dawson of Columbia; sisters: Patricia Cross of Columbia, Brenda Johnson of Columbia; a very special devoted aunt: Mary Warfield of Columbia; aunt: Caroline Hicks of Nashville; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, a devoted friend Ollie Goodrum of Columbia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jerry Cross.
