Winford E. Stanfill

January 20, 1946 - October 15, 2014

Mr. Winford E. Stanfill age 68, husband of Sandra Stanfill, and a resident of Culleoka, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. The family will also visit with friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM the service hour at 1:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. A native of Santa Fe, Winford was born on January 20, 1946 and was the son of the late Joe Leland Stanfill, Sr., and Jessie Christina Hill Stanfill. Winford was a 1963 graduate of Santa Fe High School and previously worked in the construction business. He served his country in the United States Navy and was of the Baptist faith. He was a general outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, building things, and working on the farm. In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by his sons: Billy Ray (Kris) Stanfill of Williamsport, David Shane (Debbie) Stanfill of Columbia; daughters: Kristy Danorovich of Culleoka, Sonya Brandon of Columbia; brothers: Douglas Wayne (Wanda) Stanfill of Columbia, Luther Ray (Cheryl) Stanfill; sisters: Maggie (Ray) Shouse of Santa Fe, Addie Crotts of Columbia, Charlotte Marie McCoy; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and special sister-in-law: Barbara Davis. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers: Joe Leland Stanfill, Jr., Hobert Stanfill, and Don Erwin Stanfill.
